Hey Sapphire Spectre fans! This is the moment you have been waiting for. Get excited because we are shipping! That's right... Issue 3 is shortly to be on it's way to the post office and then off to over 240 backers doorsteps worldwide! For everyone getting custom covers or art, JT will be contacting you directly to get input before shipping your order later in October/November. We are so excited for this issue and the awesome swag bags we created (Thanks Wendy Shaner for Bomber Poker Chips!) Issue 3 Mailing This Month!
Cue a big ole Monty Python "Get on with it!" cuz we're mailing this month! September! All the swag is in, the comics are in, I'm almost done with the individual sketch cards and we gon' SHIP harder than a Reylo weirdo! I'll be hitting up everyone who ordered a sketch cover to get those done this week. FYI, everyone is getting a poker chip made by the amazing Wendy Shaner. We brielfy floated the idea of a coin in an update, but that's been swapped for this. Purple for The Violet Void! Woo!
My cat, Geralt Of Rivia, will not be mailed. Sorry.
Issue 4 NEWS! (BIG BIG BIG)
I'm hard at work on the very experimental, very cool issue 4 storyline! We plan on Kickstarting it early-to-mid-November. Just in time for that lull between Halloween and Christmas/Holidays we all can't stand! And boy oh BOY do we have some cool stuff in store for that one.
Our little imprint is PUNKnCOMIX. My two favorite things. Like "Nuts And Gum: Together At Last". Obviously Sapphire Spectre is a ghost story for anyone and punk rock plays more of a window dressing role in the grand scheme of things, but we're gonna give you punks a treat on this next one in the form of....
ERIN. MICKLOW. COSPLAY.
YES. The real one. You read that right. Erin is a famously amazing model, actress, DIY designer, interviewer (check out Last Rockers TV) and all around rad punk rock chick and she's our cosplay model for issue 4. I can't believe I'm even typing this.
Before I go!
Ladies and gentlemen, it's not all about the gimmicks and the swag for me. I really really am trying to tell an awesome story here and I have it plotted out to issue 15. It's important that I make a really cool base product for you all to read and enjoy. That said, when I bring the extras^ I bring it hard!
I just say this because I know there's some anxiety, as backers, to know whether the artist/writer is thinking long-term. I definitely am. I'm always gonna fulfill, I'm always gonna bring my A-game with the comics, and you're gonna love this saga when it's done (Wait until you meet Dr. Necro, THE PURE, THE PROTODEMON argh!).
I'm floored with the response from you all in these campaigns and even if I update slowly sometimes, I just want you to know I'll never lose sight of that grateful feeling for you and I genuinely love making comics from a creative standpoint.

Thanks to everyone who backed The Sapphire Spectre issue 3! It's getting printed as of today! WOO! Gonna try and get this one out lightning fast because I'm also hard at work on issue 4 and MY GOD have I got some cool surprises storywise and campaign-wise for that one!

We have about 45 people who have yet to complete their survey to get their rewards. Backerkit sends out emails to you for your survey, so if you have not seen an email from Backerkit, please let us know so we can resend your survey to you. Orders that are finalized after the lock date will still be processed, however we need to lock in the final counts for ordering purposes.
If you missed out on adding some extra goodies to your pledge, then you can add on items through the pledge store.
